Request to EDPPI
A. If copyright or related rights are infringed (the infringement has already occurred and is ongoing) on the internet, the rightholder may submit to EDPPI an application either in person or electronically asking either for removal of the infringing content or for the blocking of access to it (procedure of paragraph 4 of Article 66E of Law 2121/1993).
The procedure for submitting a request to EDPPI is as follows:
STEP 1. PAYMENT OF THE FEE
The examination fee amounts to:
- €300, if the application includes 1 domain name
- €500, if the application includes 2 to 5 domain names
- €700, if the application includes 6 to 10 domain names
- €1,000, if the application includes 11 to 50 domain names
- €1,000, if the application concerns the blocking of access to IP addresses which are used for continuous real-time transmission (streaming). Each such application cannot concern more than fifty (50) IP addresses.
Please note that the above amounts do not include VAT.
The examination fee is deposited at the National Bank (SWIFT (BIC) code ETHNGRAA), crediting OPI's bank account with IBAN GR8101101510000015129605323. A copy of the deposit receipt with the applicant's full details shall be submitted together with the application to EDPPI. The fee is a formal prerequisite for initiating the procedure and therefore is not refunded in any case, including in the event that the case is closed.
The fee must be paid before submitting the application to EDPPI.
STEP 2. FILL IN THE PRE-DETERMINED APPLICATION WITH THE INFRINGEMENT DETAILS
You must accurately fill in, at your own responsibility, the details of the alleged infringement, by completing all fields included in the REQUEST.XLSX file, regardless of whether your application concerns an infringement taking place through domain names or IP addresses used for live-streaming.
Here you will find the above file, which must be downloaded to your local disk and completed.
This file must be submitted together with your application (see STEP 3) to EDPPI.
STEP 3. COMPLETION OF THE PRE-DETERMINED APPLICATION
Once you have completed the above steps, you must download the relevant application/pre-determined form to your local disk, complete it and send it to EDPPI by email to edppi@edppi.gr.
We recommend the electronic submission of the application along with all accompanying files and documents.

Electronic submission of the application and all accompanying files and documents is recommended.
B. If copyright or related rights, or the right of the organizer of sports events is about to be infringed on the internet, and provided that:
- a large-scale infringement is imminent on the internet in relation to events of either national or international viewing that are going to be transmitted simultaneously with their conduct (live events), or to audiovisual works that are to be transmitted, communicated to the public or made available to the public at a time and place individually chosen by them (on demand),
- the infringement will take place indicatively through specific resource locators (URLs) or IP addresses or domain names that support unauthorized access by any means, including access through the use of codes or decoders, and
- there is an urgent need to prevent immediate, serious and imminent danger or irreparable damage to the public interest and/or to the rightholder,
the latter may submit to EDPPI an application by means of an email (at edppi@edppi.gr) asking for the issuance of a Decision ordering the blocking of access (procedure of paragraph 10A of Article 66E of Law 2121/1993).
The procedure for submitting the request under paragraph 10A to EDPPI is as follows:

The examination fee amounts to:
- €400, if the application includes 1 domain name or 1 internet protocol address (IP address) or 1 uniform resource locator (URL)
- €700, if the application includes 2 to 5 URLs or domain names or IP addresses
- €1,200, if the application includes 6 to 10 URLs or domain names or IP addresses
- €1,500, if the application includes 11 to 50 URLs or domain names or IP addresses
- €1,500, if the application concerns the blocking of access to IP addresses which are used for live-streaming
Please note that each such application cannot include more than 50 URLs or domain names or IP addresses in total.
- €7,000 in the case where the request concerns the blocking of access for a maximum duration of 12 months

STEP 2. FILL IN THE INFRINGEMENT DETAILS
You must accurately fill in, at your own responsibility, the details of the alleged infringement, by completing all fields included in the requests.xlsx, regardless of whether your application concerns an infringement taking place through domain names or IP addresses or URLs.
You must also accurately and at your own responsibility fill in all the details concerning your status, your legal standing as a rightsholder/applicant, the fulfillment of the conditions for the admissibility of the application, and the details of the alleged infringement.
Here you will find the file, i.e. the special pre – determined form/aplication concerning events of either national or global viewing which are going to be transmitted simultaneously with their conduct, which must be downloaded to your local disk and completed.
Here you will find the file, i.e. the special pre – determined form/application in relation to audiovisual works which are going to be broadcasted or communicated to the public or to be made available to the public, in a time and place individually chosen by them, which must be downloaded to your local disk and completed.
STEP 3. COMPLETING THE APPLICATION
Once you have completed the above steps, meaning the completion of the file requests.xlsx and of the corresponding application/pre – determined form, you must jointly send them to EDPPI by email to edppi@edppi.gr.
Deadline for submitting the application of paragraph 10A of Article 66E of Law 2121/1993
ATTENTION: In this specific case, the rightholder's application shall be submitted to EDPPI 15 working days at the latest before the date of the scheduled transmission of the event.
In the case where the application includes more than one event which is going to be transmitted within the context of the same organization or multiple organizations, the application shall be submitted at the latest 15 working days before the scheduled transmission of the first chronological event included in the application.
In the case of audiovisual works, the rightholder's application is submitted 15 working days before the scheduled time of transmission or communication to the public of each specific work.
In the case where the application concerns the on-demand provision of an audiovisual work, the Decision of EDPPI is issued 15 working days after the submission of the rightholder's application.
Submission of supplementary elements to EETT
In the case where the rightholder/applicant wishes to submit to the competent alert service of EETT, notifying simultaneously EDPPI, supplementary elements regarding the transfer of the unlawful activity determined by EDPPI, or where a prior Decision is circumvented, in accordance with item (d) of subparagraph 2 of paragraph 10A of Article 66E of Law 2121/1993, they must submit complementary evidence related to the substantiation of the circumvention of the decision of EDPPI or the repetition of the infringement.
For this purpose, they shall fill the above EXCEL file (request.xlsx), which must be completed with the new/additional IP addresses and/or domain names for which the issuance of a new blocking order of EETT is requested.
Submission of application to EDPPI for maintaining the validity of EETT's order
If rightholders wish to maintain the validity of EETT's order, they must submit a new application to EDPPI within 5 working days from the issuance of EETT's order following the payment of the relevant examination fee (€300).
In this case, their application is accompanied by the file diatirisi entolis_10A.docx that shall be completed with the elements included in the order of EETT to which it pertains.
